Rumors about the PlayStation 5 Pro initially pointed to its arrival in 2024, but plans may have changed and it will possibly only be released in 2025.
Insider Tom Henderson, who has repeatedly reported on sources and industry insiders who have had access to information about the console, now points out that Sony Interactive Entertainment’s new console may take a little longer to hit the market.
The change in stance regarding the PlayStation 5 Pro is curious, considering that he was one of the people who reinforced that the video game would reach fans in 2024 – alongside other renowned insiders such as Jeff Grubb and even Digital Foundry.
Although Sony has not even announced the existence of the development of the new hardware, it is possible that its plans have changed and that its arrival is being scheduled for a new date. Considering that during this period we will not have the launch of any “heavy” first-party franchises, it makes sense to wait for something that will help sell it.
Initial reports have already indicated that the PlayStation 5 Pro was expected to hit stores to meet demand for GTA VI and the possibility of playing it with the “best possible performance”. However, it is important that the manufacturer ensures that its own titles are enhanced for the new device and this time may be necessary for this.
