Phanteks presents its new Polar ST coolers

Phanteks has introduced its new line of Polar ST series coolers this week. The two new models are very similar in terms of specifications and performance, and are differentiated mainly by their colors. The Polar ST4 has a chrome look, while the Polar ST5 comes in black.

Both the Polar ST4 and ST5 use a 120mm fan with ARGB lights and PWM control. The fan speeds range between 400 and 2,000 RPM, with the promise of achieving up to 84.26 CFM in airflow. Noise reaches up to 35.7 dBA with the fan at maximum, according to Phanteks.

The heatsink is not as large as we see in cooler models with two fans. The manufacturer highlights the sintered copper heatpipes, which promise superior thermal conductivity. The ST4 model has four heatpipes and promises to dissipate up to 235W, while the ST5 has one more heatpipe and is certified for up to 255W.

Phanteks’ new coolers are compatible with Intel and AMD, and can be used in LGA1851, LGA1700, LGA1200, AM5 or AM4 sockets. The product also comes with a thermal paste from the manufacturer, with an estimated thermal conductivity of 4.3W/mk. Unfortunately, the brand has not yet revealed the price for its new Polar ST series coolers.

Phanteks competes in the entry-level segment

While Phanteks has yet to announce prices for its new coolers, based on the specifications, we can assume that we are looking at an affordable product. Therefore, the price-performance ratio for the Polar ST will be decisive for its success in the competitive entry-level cooler segment.
