With rumors that reviews for the RTX 5090 and RTX 5090D will be released on January 24, specialized websites must already be testing the cards in different benchmarks. That’s why someone probably forgot to disconnect their PC from the internet while testing the cards in Blender, and now we have their first results in this benchmark.
As the screenshots below show, the RTX 5090 achieved 17,822.17 in Blender, while the RTX 5090D achieved 14,706.65. The results are accompanied by the performances of previous generations of GPUs. Thus, the 5090D is 27.6% “faster” than the 4090, while the RTX 5090 is 34% “in front”.
It is important to note, however, that different versions of Blender are being compared between generations. Therefore, it is not very appropriate to make a direct comparison between the results of the RTX 4090 and the 5090.
Blender is an interesting test for the high-end GPUs of the RTX 50 series. This is because it is a benchmark aimed at 3D rendering, and at this level of performance it is very likely that the RTX 5090 and RTX 5090D will be used in professional scenarios as well.
Official RTX 5090 and 5090D results arrive soon
As mentioned, VideoCardz announced that the embargo date for the 5090 and 5090D reviews is January 24th – that is, next Friday.
However, in its post talking about the results of the plates in Blender, the site comments that it will be on January 23rd. This could have been a typo or an adjustment of the embargo.

One way or another, if one of these dates is correct, it won’t be long before we see results deliberately released for the RTX 50 series. Performance tests carried out by third parties, and not by NVIDIA itself, will be very important to assess the value of the new generation of the company’s domestic GPUs.
