In the varied universe of those who are looking to build a gaming PC, there is a category that has been attracting more and more followers. Living Room PC. More compact computers. Options that can be integrated more easily into a room’s decor, fitting into smaller spaces, without leaving aside a configuration that can run games. These are “PCs with a console look.”

This same type of movement is also sought by those who want to have a good multimedia center, integrated with the living room television, for example. A category known as HTPC.

We know how complicated it can be, from a price point of view, to set up a configuration like this in Brazil. And the relationship between how much a console costs and how much it costs to set up a PC this way is not even in question. The idea here is just to show some really cool setup options from people who have adopted this strategy of setting up a more compact configuration.

For these examples, I gathered some images that I found in Reddit communities. Users who shared their builds. Let’s go!

The first option is this PC positioned on a stand equipped with a Ryzen 9 7900X processor, RTX 4080 Super Founders Edition graphics card (NVIDIA’s famous reference model), as well as 64 GB of G-Skill RAM and an 850W power supply.

The case is from a brand that is well-known among those who like more compact cases, FormD, with the T1 model. An option that is somewhat reminiscent of the design of the NZXT H1. Also noteworthy is the Xbox controller on the side, further reinforcing this console look to the setup.

The second option is a setup that has already appeared in a independent post here on the site. Based on the FormD T1 Titanium V2.1 case, the configuration received an AMD Ryzen 7800X3D CPU, ROG Strix B650E-I Gaming WI-FI Mini ITX motherboard, 2TB M.2 SSD, RTX 4070 Super Founders Edition graphics card, 32GB of RAM and a 750W power supply.

We now move on to a configuration based on the mini-ITX S300 case, from KXRORS. In this option, the user who assembled the build even shared an image of how the PC fit into the environment, perfectly integrated with the furniture’s decor.

The configuration is based on an ASRock B650i Lightning Wi-Fi motherboard, AMD 7800X3D processor, 32 GB of TeamGroup T-Create DDR5 RAM, RTX 3080 Ti FTW3 graphics card, 2 TB SSD and 700W SilverStone SX700 power supply.

The fourth option takes portability and minimalism to the next level. This configuration is based on Fractal Design’s Ridge mini-ITX case. On the official website of this office, The brand emphasizes precisely this point of being an option for those looking to assemble a computer that can be perfectly integrated into their space.

In terms of configuration, the computer received an AMD Ryzen 5 7600 processor, MSI MPG B650i Edge Wi-Fi motherboard, 32 GB of G-Skill Flare memory, 1 TB Samsung 980 Pro SSD / 2 TB Crucial P3 SSD, 750W SFX form factor power supply, Corsair SF750 model, in addition to the RTX 4080 Founders Edition graphics card.

Rounding off this selection of 5 compact PCs, we have a machine that features a custom watercooler system, a detail that, without a doubt, adds a lot to the result in terms of appearance.

The configuration also received a Core i9-10900K processor, ASUS ROG Strix Z490-I Gaming motherboard, 64 GB of G-Skill TridentZ RAM, RTX 3080 Ti Founders Edition graphics card, Cooler Master V850 SFX Gold power supply and 4 TB of storage, distributed between two WD Black SN750 2 TB SSDs. The case is the BS2-A4.

Well, I promised 5 options, but let’s go to a bonus. Since we’re talking about more compact setups here, with a design that could pass as a console in the environment, one user took this concept to another level. He is designing a case that recalls the aesthetics of the Xbox Series S. The configuration received an RTX 4060 from Gigabyte.
