Patriot shows new DDR5 modules to 9,600mt/SEO First SSD PCIE 5.0 without DRAM

Patriot is known for its memory components, whether it is drives for storage or RAM. Thus, the company presented in Computex 2025 some of its new high performance products, including the first SSD PCIE 5.0 in the world without incorporated DRAM.

The PV563 promises speeds up to 14,000mb/s in reading and up to 11.500MB/s, which leaves the product close to other high performance SSDs 5.0. The difference is that, dispensing with the use of DRAM, the final price of the product must be considerably more affordable. However, Patriot has not yet revealed how much it will charge for it.

The new drive was presented accompanied by the PV593, a more advanced version of the product using DRAM. In this case, SSD does not target more affordable prices to offer more performance, maintaining the reading speed of the PV563, but reaching up to 13,000mb/s for recording.

We still have no information on random performance in IOPs for drives. This is an especially important metric for gaming performance, and it would be interesting to see the difference between products with and without DRAM. Both versions will be offered in 1TB, 2TB and 4TB capacity options.

Patriot presents new DDR5 Cudimm modules

Going to the volatile memory modules, we have new Viper Xtreme 5 CKD, DDR Cudimm modules. This means that they use the clock controller that allows more advanced frequencies and performance in components.

Patriot promises up to 9,600mt/s on its products, which certainly puts these modules among some of the fastest available today. In the company’s booth for Computex 2025 we see the information that the modules support Intel’s XMP profile. However, no mention of AMD’s Expo.
