Physical camera button brings several functionalities

The Oppo Find X8 promises to bring an interesting difference, which is the inclusion of a physical button on the side of the device, mainly designed to activate the camera quickly and efficiently.

The technology, called Quick Capture, uses a capacitive touch area that allows simple but useful interactions. According to a video recently released by Oppo, the button can be used in several ways.

One of them is by quickly double-tapping the button, which activates the camera app instantly. It is also possible to press and hold to capture a photo, in addition to sliding your finger on the side of the button to zoom in on the image fluidly, something that promises to improve the experience compared to traditional methods. According to the company, the main reason for the return of this functionality is the difficulty of touching the screen in certain situations, such as underwater or in conditions of extreme use. During Oppo’s presentation, the Find X8 was used underwater, taking advantage of its IP68 certification, which guarantees resistance to water and dust. In this situation, the use of the physical button ends up standing out, as the smartphone screen would not be responsive to touch.

In addition to underwater environments, Oppo also highlighted that the physical button was designed to work perfectly in both portrait and landscape mode, ensuring ease of use at different capture angles.

Comparison with the Oppo Find X7 Ultra

Although the addition of the physical button is a new feature in the Find X8 series, it is worth remembering that Oppo had already presented similar features in the Find X7 Ultra, which runs on the ColorOS 14 system. on any volume key. The volume buttons could also be used to zoom in or out, but the mechanism was not as smooth as the side swipe present on the Find X8.

The big difference in the new version is precisely a physical button dedicated to activities, in addition to this greater fluidity of zooming with side swiping, which offers a more natural and faster transition between magnification levels. This improvement is especially interesting for those who want to capture photos or videos in a more professional and accurate way.

What to expect from the Oppo Find X8?

The new physical button for capturing screens on the Oppo Find X8 is a highlight of the device, which promises to bring a difference to those who want to improve the experience of capturing images with smartphones. It is a feature that ends up bringing more practicality both to everyday life and to different moments.

In addition, the device will also feature a recent processor, the Mediatek Dimensity 9400, which features TSMC’s second generation 3 nm process technology. It will also feature an OLED screen for better image quality, and the possibility of 50 W wireless recharging. The company has already confirmed that the launch of new devices, including the Find X8, will take place at the end of this month, more precisely on the 24th. of October.
