The official PlayStation VR 2 app has been listed within the Steam system, revealing that it will have support from Sony Interactive Entertainment itself on the platform from August 6, 2024 – the day before the launch of the adapter that will allow you to use the virtual reality glasses on computers.

In addition to needing to use the PlayStation VR 2 app to make the device work with Steam games, the user will also need to have an official PC adapter – which will be sold separately starting August 7th.

This accessory transforms the device’s USB Type-C connection into a DisplayPort 1.4, power and USB input. In Brazil, its pre-sale has not yet started, but in the international market it is being sold for the suggested price of $60 / €60 / £50.

Requirements for using PlayStation VR 2

According to Steam, to use PlayStation VR 2 on PC the user will need to follow the required standards below:

It’s important to note that some PlayStation VR 2 features will continue to be restricted for use on PlayStation 5, such as HDR, headset feedback, adaptive triggers, and haptic feedback.
