It’s been a while since NVIDIA released a new GPU in the Titan series, which used to be the best of its generation. But according to insiders, the Blackwell architecture, which will power the GeForce RTX 50 video cards, will have one of these and it can be about 63% better and stronger than the RTX 4090.

The information comes from the RedGamingTech channel, which has already confirmed several hardware rumors before. According to the channel, the GPU will be called Titan AI and, as the name suggests, it will be aimed at NVIDIA’s flagship product: AI processing.

Corroborating the unofficial information, well-known leaker kopite7kimi said that “the biggest problem is whether the board will actually be used for sale“. He goes on to say that NVIDIA’s current graphics architecture, Ada Lovelace, also got a Titan, but that “never sold“.

This supposed GeForce Titan, which has also appeared on the internet as the RTX 4090 Ti (which only Brazil has), has already had its casing photographed before. This video card, regardless of what it would be called, would have an even more robust cooling system than the top-of-the-line Ada Lovelace model, which is already giant.

RTX 5090 performance over its predecessor

Another piece of information released by the RedGamingTech channel concerns the GeForce RTX 5090, which could be around 48% more powerful than the RTX 4090. Another rumor said that the difference between the two GPUs would be even greater, somewhere between 50 and 70%.

Another unofficial report said that the alleged top-of-the-line Blackwell GPU can operate at 2.9 GHz, about 400 MHz more than the best Ada Lovelace graphics card in the GeForce series.

At another point, kopite7kimi also stated that the GeForce RTX 5090 will not have a colossal design like we saw in the RTX 4090, as NVIDIA’s next top-of-the-line GPU may offer two fans and two slots in the Founders Edition, which would be incredible for a model of this size.

Back to the Titan series. It started in 2013 with the Kepler architecture (GTX 600/700) in three different models. The Titan Z was the most famous at the time for being equipped with 12 GB of video memory, an absurd amount for the time, even considering the RTX 780 Ti, which had 3 GB.

NVIDIA has yet to comment on the GeForce RTX 50, much less on a Titan Blackwell, but the next series is expected sometime between the end of this year and the beginning of 2025.
