NVIDIA took advantage of the 2025 edition of its GTC (GPU Technology Conference) to show for the first time the so-called Vera Rubin Superchip. It is a computer processing system, especially aimed at AI, equipped with a Vera CPU and two huge Rubin GPUs.
The model shown has eight spaces for HBM4 modules and two maximum GPU size dies. NVIDIA highlights that Rubin units are expected to enter mass production between Q3 and Q4 2026, so it intends to deliver the first Vera Rubin systems in the second half of next year.

NVIDIA Vera Rubin NVL144 arrives first
The Superchip shown is an example on which the first product in the line will be based, the NVL144 system. This product is scheduled for the second half of 2026, bringing a Vera CPU with 88 customized ARM cores and 176 threads, promising up to 1.8TB/s via the NVLink-C2C interconnect.

The two Rubin GPUs promise a total of 50PFLOPs of performance, aided by 288GB of HBM4.
As I couldn’t stop talking about AI, NVIDIA claims that the Vera Rubin NVL144 will deliver up to 3.6exaFLOPS of inference in FP4, going up to 1.2exaFLOPS for training in FP8. The numbers are approximately 3.3 times higher than those offered by the GB300 NVL72.

Rubin Ultra NVL576 brings 4 GPUs
Despite showing the Superchip in hand only for the NVL144, NVIDIA also presented a slide for what it is preparing for 2027, also in the second half. The so-called Rubin Ultra NVL576 keeps the same Vera CPU as the closest system, but doubles the number of Rubin GPUs to four.

The result is 100PFLOPs of performance, with 1TB of HBM4. The numbers in FP4 inference go to 15exaFLOPS, with FP8 training reaching 5exaFLOPs. That’s 14 times more performance than that offered by the GB300 NVL72.
Finally, the company emphasizes that it intends to offer multiple times better performance in new products year after year.
