During Editor’s Day 2025 at CES, the NVIDIA shared new information about the performance of the series’ GPUs GeForce RTX 50including models RTX 5090, 5080, 5070 If e 5070. The company confirmed that performance gains in Ray Tracing (RT) native, without the use of DLSSvary between 15% and 20% compared to the previous generation.
According to NVIDIA, cards RTX 5090 e RTX 5080 show an increase in performance 15% in games and applications with Native Ray Tracingwhile the RTX 5070 Ti ea RTX 5070 achieve a gain of 20% when compared to the respective RTX 40 series cards.
These values represent the gains without activating upscaling or frame generation technologies, such as the new DLSS 4 MFG (Multi-Frame Generation) or any other previous version of DLSS.
While native earnings may appear modest relative to the generation Ada LovelaceNVIDIA emphasized that the real difference lies in the new capabilities introduced with the RTX 50 cards. Among them, the following stand out:
- Neural Shading e Neural Rendering: optimized for AI workloads and creative applications.
- RTX Fur, RTX Hair e RTX Skin: advances in texture realism and simulations.
- GDDR7: State-of-the-art memory for greater bandwidth and efficiency.
With these technologies, NVIDIA is betting on a market that values not only raw performance, but also visual quality and innovation in AI.
RTX 50 performance comparisons without DLSS
The data presented highlights the following gains compared to the previous generation:
- RTX 5090 vs. RTX 4090 (Ray Tracing, nativo): +15%
- RTX 5080 vs. RTX 4080 (Ray Tracing, nativo): +15%
- RTX 5070 Ti vs. RTX 5070 | RTX 4070 Ti (Ray Tracing, native): +20%
- RTX 5070 vs. RTX 4070 (Ray Tracing, nativo): +20%
The boards RTX 5090 e RTX 5080 were designed to offer the best experience in resolutions 4Kwhile the RTX 5070 Ti ea RTX 5070 stand out in games 1440paccording to NVIDIA itself.
In addition to native resolutions, the graphics also show the gains from using DLSS in each generation, but information with DLSS is already more publicized by NVIDIA marketing in general.
The models RTX 5090 e RTX 5080 will be available from January 30, 2025, with suggested prices of US$ 1999 e US$ 999respectively. The plates RTX 5070 Ti e RTX 5070 will hit the market in February 2025, costing US$ 749 e US$ 549.
