NVIDIA chose to drop support for 32-bit-based games and apps for its latest hardware, which resulted in many games no longer working properly on the RTX 50 series, especially those that make use of PhysX. Now, following popular pressure, the company has decided to restore the feature in famous games.
“We listened to community feedback and, with the release of our new driver today, we are adding custom support for GeForce gamers in the most played PhysX-accelerated games, enabling full performance on GeForce RTX 50 series GPUs, in line with our existing PhysX support on previous generations of GPUs,” NVIDIA stated in its official post.

Unfortunately it is not a hardware-level restore with general support for all PhysX-based games. Compatibility is customized for specific games, and NVIDIA released the list:

- Alice: Madness Returns
- Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag
- Batman: Arkham City
- Batman: Arkham Origins
- Borderlands 2
- Mafia II
- Metro 2033
- Metro: Last Light
- Mirror’s Edge
We don’t know if NVIDIA will continue working to bring PhysX support on RTX 50 to more games, but the company has confirmed at least one other. Batman: Arkham Asylum will receive the update next year.

Driver 591.44 also fixes bugs on RTX 50
NVIDIA’s latest driver update doesn’t bring a list of Game Ready games as usual, but it does come with important bug fixes, as well as extended PhysX support on the RTX 50.
One of them is specific to the new GPUs. Particle effects in Monster Hunter World: Iceborne could be missing on RTX 50 cards, and this has been fixed, according to NVIDIA.

Other fixes were applied to Battlefield 6’s stability and Black Myth: Wukong’s performance had worsened after the 570 drivers – which should have been fixed. The update changelog and download link are available at this link. Alternatively, you can also update directly through the NVIDIA App.
