Nvidia prepares an RTX Pro 6000D to replace H20 in China

Nvidia never hid that it will not easily give up the professional GPUS market in China, even after the H20 ban. Now rumors claim that the company prepares an RTX Pro 6000D as an alternative to the country segment.

The information is not official, but aligns with recent statement by the company’s CEO Jensen Huang. The executive had already said that the successor of the H20 to the Chinese market would not be based on Hopper architecture, as it would not be possible to modify these chips even more to meet the strict US export rules.

It was speculated that Nvidia could resort to her past generation for servers, Ada Lovelace, or her Blackwell chips. Apparently, the company will follow with the second option. The RTX Pro 6000 were recently released, so they would be modified to an RTX Pro 6000D version in China – as with the RTX 5090 and 5090D in the household segment.

The plate was cited with that name by China’s GF Securities, which also mentions its code name B40, which aligns with the past generation Ada Lovelace L40. According to Reuters, the RTX Pro 6000D will cost far less than H20.

Based on GF Securities information, Reuters was able to get more details with its own sources, which they preferred not to identify themselves. According to the recognized publication, the RTX Pro 6000D will be sold in China for some price between $ 6,500 and $ 8,000.

In addition to price information, the site says that the mass production of new models should start next month in June.
