NVIDIA can take advantage of its RTX 50 generation video card debut event to also present DLSS4. According to current rumors, the company is preparing the next advancement in its famous upscaling software to introduce it along with its latest pieces of hardware at CES 2025.
The information comes from the trustworthy “leaker” kopite7kimi, but in a different way than usual. In someone else’s post, where we see a supposed price capture of the RTX 5080, the product description lists DLSS4 as one of its features.
Responding to this post, another user says that the listing could only be fake because of the mention of new upscaling technology. It is in response to this person that kopite simply says: “DLSS4 is true”.
Since we are talking about a new generation for DLSS, NVIDIA must prepare new advances and features for its upscaling technology. If the company continues at the same pace of development, DLSS4 will probably have features exclusive to the RTX 50 and technologies that previous cards will still be able to take advantage of.
Inno3D may have made mention of DLSS4
The bet that we will also see the new version of DLSS at CES 2025 is based on information from Inno3D, one of NVIDIA’s partners. AIB mentions on its official website that its new cards will bring “new AI-accelerated capabilities”, and mentions as an example “advanced DLSS technology” and “neural rendering capabilities”.
Inno3D GPUs will be presented at the event, as well as other NVIDIA partners. Adding the promise of a more advanced DLSS to the leak about a new version, it is quite possible that the company is talking about DLSS4.
Additionally, VideoCardz speculates that this “neural rendering capability” could be part of the new features in the new version of NVIDIA’s upscaling software.
