A few hours after Chinese notebook manufacturers “burned the start,” Nvidia made the global and official announcement of the RTX 5050. Unexpectedly, the company has confirmed specifications and prices not only of the notebook version, which arrives today, but also from the desktop PC model, which will only be made available in July.
It is interesting to start with the Desktop version of RTX 5050, which had not yet been confirmed with releases. Nvidia has revealed that, in fact, the 5050 PC version will come with 8GB GDDR6, while the Notebook variant uses GDDR7. The GPU includes 2,560 cuda nuclei and its base clock is 2.31GHz. It is the same nuclei count of the mobile version.
The RTX 5050 for PCs was announced by the suggested price of US$ 249 (R$ 1.370)the equivalent of more or less. Nvidia released a comparison with the RTX 3050 as we didn’t have a 4050 for desktops. Unfortunately, the company offered the graphics only with DLSS 4 on, indicating that they consider support to the new version of technology the biggest attraction to upgrade:

Nvidia’s global announcement also confirms that the 5050 PC version arrives in July. However, unlike a leak we had today, the 24th, it will not be on the first day, but in the second half of the month, according to the company.
Meanwhile, notebooks will begin to be sold today, not just in China. At the moment of this post only one appears in NVIDIA’s official product search engine, HP Victus 15. More models should be added throughout the day.
