Those who are following the reviews for the debut of RTX 5060 Ti must have noticed that there are not many analyzes of the available 8GB variant. According to the Hardware Unboxed channel this is purposeful and happens at the request of Nvidia. It is a slightly confused situation that they tried to explain in a video.
Apparently, Nvidia’s official position for RTX 5060 TI is that the review embargo drops today for both the 16GB model and the 8GB model. However, none of its partners (AIBS) offered the variant with less capacity for analysis to be made.
Unboxed hardware says some brands simply do not have the models, while others said that Nvidia literally prevented the GPUS from being sent.
“Although Nvidia gives us permission to get 8GB models (from RTX 5060 TI) on the first day for reviews, plates told us that they can’t send us the video cards in some cases because they were not ready, but in other cases because Nvidia explicitly did not allow them to do it,” says the video host on the channel.
Will 8GB RTX 5060 TI arrive later?
Nvidia’s official disclosure is that both 16GB’s RTX 5060 TI and 8GB has today, April 16, as its release date. However, the less ability to arrive later even then, says the Unboxed hardware.
