O insider “kopite7kimi” spoke about a publication that declared the launch of the manufacturer’s flagship before the others, pointing out that things could be different with “Blackwell” architecture video cards and that we will first see the GeForce RTX 5080.
It is worth noting that the leaker does not deny the website about the arrival of the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 GPU during 2024 – however, he only adds that the other hardware should arrive before inaugurating the new generation for consumers.

Expectations for the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080 GPU
Although NVIDIA has not released the specifications of the GeForce RTX 5080, the new graphics card is expected to contain the GB203 GPU (successor to the AD103) and offer up to 96 SMs – with possibly 12,288 CUDA cores.
Samsung and SK Hynix were present at GTC 2024 to showcase their GDDR7 memories – which will be adopted for use in next generation graphics cards. However, it has not been confirmed which of them will be the official supplier of NVIDIA and which modules will be used – 28 Gbps or larger.
