We are entering the phase of the year in which some details about the next generations of video cards gain more strength. A new rumor now concerns GeForce RTX 5060possible entry-level NVIDIA Blackwell GPU, which should have lower consumption compared to the RTX 4060 and should use GDRR7 memory.

The information allegedly comes from an event held by Chinese PC and notebook manufacturer Shenzhen Hasee Computer, where the CEO discussed the company’s upcoming products. At the time, NVIDIA’s GPU was mentioned, but for notebooks.

The information comes from leaker Golden Pig Upgrade, who usually appears a lot when it comes to PC hardware leaks. According to him, the GeForce RTX 5060 would have a TDP of 115W, 25W less than the RTX 4060, in addition to using the next generation of video memory that promises great speeds and storage capacities.

Possible consumption of GeForce RTX 50 for notebooks

Another leak comes from German notebook manufacturer Clevo, which brings even more information about NVIDIA Blackwell GPUs, but for mobile chips. In the high-end segment, a GPU close to the RTX 4080 would have a TDP of 140W, instead of the 175W of the Ada Lovelace GPU for notebooks.

This graphics chip, it seems, would be a third SKU in NVIDIA’s high-end segment, which in the current generation is composed of the GeForce RTX 4090 and RTX 4080. Would it be a Ti or SUPER model right away? We’ll have to wait and find out.

In the segment below, Clevo notebooks equipped with GPUs equivalent to RTX 4070, RTX 4060 and RTX 4050, which usually have a TDP of 140W, would be lowered to 115W. The slide above also states that, apparently, the entire Blackwell lineup will be equipped with GDDR7 memories, corroborating with the GeForce RTX 5060 leak.

All of this information is about NVIDIA’s upcoming graphics chips aimed at laptops. Nothing about desktop versions was mentioned. The last information we had about this segment was over a month ago, coming from Seasonic, where the power supply manufacturer reportedly revealed part of the RTX 50 GPU lineup.

NVIDIA’s new GPUs are apparently not expected to launch this year. The GeForce RTX 50 series is expected to be unveiled in January 2025 during next year’s CES.
