NVIDIA is having trouble manufacturing its “Blackwell” servers for artificial intelligence. According to the Taiwan Economic Daily, production is being hampered by a lack of essential components, which has had a direct impact on the shipping schedule for suppliers such as Foxconn and Wistron.
Specifically, one of the biggest issues affected by supply issues is the liquid cooling of GB200 servers – as one of the mechanisms used to manufacture it is out of stock on the market, creating a waiting list for acquisition.
Taiwan Economic Daily uses a Bank of America survey as a basis, revealing that if NVIDIA has problems with the launch of “Blackwell” architecture servers, they will promote the Hopper line products as H200 GPUs – which may solve the issue in the short term.
Even though the manufacturer has not confirmed the information or disclosed whether there are actually problems within the supply chain, if the demand for “Blackwell” servers is really as high as reported, we will at least see a limited quantity reaching the industry in the last quarter of 2024.
Despite a shortage of components in the market, NVIDIA maintains its production forecast for “Blackwell” B200 servers for the end of 2024 – with an increase in sales and revenue stream expected to occur only in 2025.

Complexity of “Blackwell” servers
NVIDIA’s “Blackwell” servers, aimed at the artificial intelligence industry, have the main objective of revolutionizing the market through the integration of new technologies and methods with its new line.
However, this does not occur without a series of complexities in its production – which relies on resources and components from various manufacturers around the world. However, if there is a lack of just one, the entire manufacturing process can be compromised.
Even though it has problems in the supply chain, NVIDIA is “used” to these industrial issues during the launch of new products and has formulated several backup plans – such as the one specified above, to highlight the Hopper architecture for a while longer, at least to maintain its revenue in AI until everything returns to normal.
