These chips are being developed in partnership with MediaTekwhich is expected to earn US$2 billion from the project, representing 8% of its annual revenue.

While many expected Nvidia to showcase these ARM SoCs at CES 2025, the event was used to promote other launches such as the RTX 50 Blackwell series GPUs and the AI mini PC, Project Digits.

However, there is speculation that more details about the new chips will be released during Computex in May, including information about architecture, core specifications and performance.

The N1X and N1 models are part of an effort by Nvidia to compete directly with companies like Intel, AMD and especially Qualcommwhich leads the ARM chip market for Windows.

The N1X is expected to be the top model in the line, while the N1 will offer a more affordable option, following a similar pattern to Qualcomm with its X Elite and X Plus SKUs.

Although more detailed technical information is still unknown, Nvidia already has experience with ARM-based products, such as the Grace processors aimed at servers and the Tegra line, used in multimedia and gaming devices.

This expertise can position the company competitively in the ARM-based Windows PC market, increasing rivalry in the sector.

Expectations are now surrounding the presentations scheduled for this year, which could mark the beginning of a new phase for Nvidia in the personal computer market.
