Among the many news that Nvidia showed on GTC 2025, the company also announced the official launch of its cosmos platform, from world base models. Technology will be used by NVIDIA partner companies to simulate real -world situations in training robots, autonomous vehicles and other types.
World -base models, also known for the English acronym WFM, use Ia Physics to simulate and predict the behavior of objects in the real world. This is why companies like Agility Robotics, Skild Ai, figure there and even Uber already appear among Nvidia’s first major customers for Cosmos.
“Just like the great models of Language (LLM) have revolutionized the Generative Aia and AI agents, the foundation models of the Cosmos world are a breakthrough for the physical AI,” said Jensen Huang, CEO of Nvidia. “Cosmos presents an open and fully customizable reasonable reasoning model for physics and unlocks opportunities for stepgiving advances in robotics and physical industries.”

Nvidia also highlights the use of cosmos in conjugating omniverssis, its physics AI platform aimed at creating and testing objects, vehicles and robots.
Nvidia Cosmos offers different tools
In its presentation, Nvidia stressed three main resources from Cosmos, which were revealed by the company yet in CES this year – that is, in January.
- Cosmos Transfer: generates photorealistic videos based on the data obtained by physical AI simulations, also compatible with Omniverse data.
- Predict Cosmos: Able to generate world simulations from multimodal text inputs, images and video.
- Cosmos Reason: Technology that analyzes and uses it to predict results of interactions of the world in natural language.
Both predict and transfer are openly available and can be found even in Github. Cosmos Reason is in advance access by the NVIDIA platform.
