NVIDIA officially launched two new video cards from the GeForce RTX 50 line. GeForce RTX 5060 TI and GeForce RTX 5060 arrive to serve a large part of the company’s most affordable consumer products, introduced with the most expensive RTX 5090, RTX 5080 and RTX 5070 TI.

GeForce GeForce RTX 5060 TI arrive in two versions, with 8 and 16GB video memory, while GeForce RTX 5060 will only come with 8GB of memory. The two versions of RTX 5060 TI, with two memory capabilities, arrive on April 16, yes, already on Thursday, while the RTX 5060 arrives on an not yet determined date of May.

RTX 5060 line promises games at over 100 fps

Nvidia’s goal with these new products is to deliver games at over 100fps, reaching twice the frame rate than the previous generation thanks to more advanced AI technologies, such as the Multiple Frame generator of DLSS 4.

According to Nvidia, there are over 50 million gamers with older 60 plates in line, such as the RTX 3060 and 2060, and even retreating more, models of the GTX line, such as GTX 1660 (such as Adrenaline One) and GTX 1060. For this audience, the performance in performance can reach 50x more performance.

A central point of the presentation was to show the gain of frame rates that the new generation has to offer, showing that even with the use of frame generator, the latencies are also lower.

Hogwarts Legacy, for example, which runs at just 34fps with a very high 128m latency on a 3060 Ti RTX, has an increase for 87fps and latency reduced to 48m on a RTX 4060 Ti, thanks to technologies such as the DLS table generator, while on RTX 5060 Ti will reach 171fps and maintain a similar lattity level than RTX 4060 Ti.

Despite focusing on performance gain due to the DLSS frame generator, after all the 2x performance advancement is always more impressive, in Nvidia’s comparative chart there are also markings for gross performance gain, without DLSS, and there is a noticeable evolution in the RTX 5060 comparison with RTX 4060.

Speaking of GeForce RTX 5060, Nvidia pointed out that the plate can reach over 100fps in heavy games with the Ultra configuration in 1080p, with DLSS in quality mode and the frame generator in the most advanced mode the game supports.

In addition to computer cards for computers, Nvidia also announced the RTX 5060 coming notebooks, with prices from $ 1099.

In addition to embarking on all the technologies present in its counterpart for desktops, Nvidia emphasized the support of 8K 4: 2: 2: 2: 2: 2 format accelerated video editing for hardware, something that can be very relevant to professionals who need a mobile video editing station.
