NO NOISE! ASRock AMD Radeon RX 7900 Passive GPUs are FAN-FREE

ASRock has launched two AMD Radeon RX 7900 GPUs from the “Passive” lineup, with the Radeon RX 7900 XTX Passive 24GB and the Radeon RX 7900 XT Passive 20GB operating without fans.

Both video cards use a vapor chamber for cooling, with “V” shaped aluminum fins to dissipate heat from both hardware.

Another highlight of ASRock’s AMD Radeon RX 7900 Passive GPUs is that the models will have only one horizontal 12V-2×6 power connector – reducing the number of wires inside your case and making it easier to organize the space according to your preferences.

The manufacturer’s goal is to take it directly to the system integration market, with the AMD Radeon RX 7900 XTX Passive 24GB and AMD Radeon RX 7900 XT Passive 20GB offering support for multi-GPU collaborative computing and with a design for multi-GPU parallel computing for its best performance.

ASRock Passive Lineup Specifications

Both the AMD Radeon RX 7900 XTX Passive 24GB and AMD Radeon RX 7900 XT Passive 20GB GPUs from ASRock feature the PCIe 4.0 x16 interface, but with some differences in the general specifications of each.

The “XTX” model has a base clock of 2,270 MHz and can reach up to 2,500 MHz in boost clock. In other aspects, it follows the standards established by AMD, with 6,144 stream processors and a 384-bit memory interface.

For the AMD Radeon RX 7900 XT Passive 20GB model, ASRock has set a base clock of 2,025 MHz, with a boost clock of up to 2,395 MHz. The GPU has 5,376 stream processors and its memory interface is 320-bit.

Additionally, both AMD Radeon RX 7900 Passive models feature four video outputs – one of which is HDMI 2.1 compatible and three are DisplayPort 2.1.

They also have dimensions that favor space saving in cases, with measurements of 261 x 111 x 40mm – followed by the two ASRock GPUs. The manufacturer also points out that their backplate is metallic, reinforcing the hardware to prevent damage.
