New XPG Lancer Neon DDR5 memory is 60% RGB lights

If it were true that RGB increases FPS, no memory would be more powerful than XPG’s new Lancer Neon. The DDR5 RAM modules from ADATA’s gaming brand feature a heatsink that is 60% colored LEDs, according to the manufacturer itself. And not only that, despite all the flashy looks, the Lancer Neon are supposedly eco-friendly.

XPG claims that 50% of the plastic used in its memories is PCR, with FSC-certified packaging. The result, according to the brand, is up to 72.5% less carbon emissions in the manufacturing process of Lancer Neon memories.

It’s an interesting contrast to see environmental concerns in such a neon product. But it’s equally important to know the technical specifications of the products.

The new XPG Lancer Neon modules will be released in 16GB and 24GB kits, with speeds from 6,000MT/s to 8,000MT/s. They also support Intel XMP 3.0 and AMD EXPO profiles for overclocking. That’s right, the manufacturer guarantees that the heatsink is not there just to shine, reducing the operating temperature of the memories by up to 10%.

Unfortunately, the suggested price for the new memories has not been revealed. However, XPG has already promised a lifetime warranty for the products.

XPG Lancer Neon focuses on colors and features

XPG’s new modules focus on looks and features, while also bringing on-die ECC to the products. Thus, performance reaches satisfactory numbers, but it does not reach the highest level found in DDR5.

The manufacturer itself has other Lancer models that reach an impressive 9,900MT/s. In this way, ADATA seeks to offer products in different performance ranges with varied attractions.
