New Ugreen NAS facilitates data search and promises faster connection

A Ugreen presented during the CES 2026 its new line of storage solutions aimed at enthusiasts and professionals. The big one is for the Ugreen Smart NAS from the series iDX6011which arrives with the premise of solving digital disorganization through local artificial intelligence and robust hardware.

The model seeks to serve those who need high data capacity without depending on cloud subscriptions, bringing processors Intel Core Ultra and high-speed connections.

With the increase in the volume of personal and work files, data management has become a challenge. The manufacturer’s new bet integrates an AI engine called “Local AI Engine“, which performs processing directly on the device.

This allows the system to automatically organize photos, documents and projects as soon as they are uploaded, classifying them by type, date and even context, without sending information to external servers.

As we said, the heart of the new devices is the plataforma Intel Core Ultrthe. The choice for these processors aims to deliver sufficient computational power for AI and media transcoding tasks.

The base model, iDX6011, comes equipped with the Core Ultra 5 125H, while the Pro version raises the bar with the Core Ultra 7 255H, focused on studios and intense workflows.

Local AI for organization and search

The software’s difference lies in its ability to interpret natural language. The feature “Uliya AI Chat” works as a built-in assistant, allowing the user to locate files describing scenes or ideas, such as “photos of my brother last Christmas” or “document about the March project”.

The tool can also transcribe and summarize voice recordings in multiple languages, a useful function for those who archive meetings or classes.

Privacy is a strong point of this approach. By keeping AI processing within the hardwareUgreen eliminates the need for a constant internet connection for these functions, keeping user data under its physical control.

Flexible, high-capacity storage

To house large volumes of data, Ugreen NAS supports up to 196TB of maximum storage. This capacity is configurable with six SATA drive bays and two high-speed NVMe slots.

The combination offers flexibility for users to combine large-capacity HDDs for archiving with NVMe SSDs for tasks that demand fast data access, such as video editing or AI processing.

Connectivity and expansion

To ensure that access to files is quick, both models have two network ports 10GbE. They enable theoretical transfer speeds of up to 20 Gbps when used together (link aggregation), perfect for network video editing or environments with multiple simultaneous users.

The iDX6011 Pro version brings an additional feature for those looking for extreme performance: an OCuLink port. The connection requires attaching a external graphics card (eGPU) to the NAS, further accelerating AI processing or transforming the equipment into a hybrid workstation.

Availability and prices

A Ugreen confirmed that the Kickstarter crowdfunding campaign will begin in March. Prices for early backers (Early Bird) were revealed in dollars. The iDX6011 model with 32GB of RAM will cost US$999 (approximately R$5,370 in direct conversion, without taxes). The Pro version with 64GB will cost US$1,559 (around R$8,380).

For those attending CES 2026, the products are on display at the brand’s stand at the Las Vegas Convention Center. The arrival of these devices on the market signals a trend where local storage is once again gaining relevance, now driven by artificial intelligence to compete with the convenience of the cloud.
