During an event, held by AMDthe company finally revealed that the new CPUs Ryzen 9000 will arrive on July 31st.
The event Zen 5 Tech Day brought a lot of new information and demonstrations of the new technologies that AMD will bring to market in the second half of 2024.
Ryzen 9000 series processors arrive in late July
If you’ve been looking forward to the new Ryzen 9000 CPUs – whether to give your machine a serious upgrade or just to admire them from afar – the time has finally come to get your hands on these beauties so you can play around with them a bit. The new line of Ryzen 9000 processors will be launched on July 31, according to official information from AMD.
Jokes aside, after all, the news coming from AMD is anything but a joke. The American company arrived with the ZEN 5, which will equip its new generation of processors, in addition to news regarding RDNA 3.5 GPUs and XDNA 2 NPUs, all presented during Zen 5 Tech Day.
Speaking of AMD’s Ryzen 9000 (Granite Ridge) processors, they feature a new microarchitecture with a 16% increase in instructions per cycle (IPC). The series comes with four models: Ryzen 9 9950X, Ryzen 9 9900X, Ryzen 7 9700X, and Ryzen 5 9600X. With the Ryzen 9 9950X as the flagship, it draws 230W of power, compared to Intel’s 14900K, which draws 300W. All four processors support DDR5-5600 RAM as standard, and are expected to have EXPO support enabled as well.
Of course, AMD has stated that it expects to see considerable gains over Intel when the Ryzen 9000 series of processors launches. If it delivers on its promises, taking into account the comparisons in terms of power stability and low heat, which Intel’s processors have struggled with, we could see the orange ones making their way into many machines in the near future.
