New Intel driver prepares Arc GPUs for Black Myth: Wukong

Intel released a new driver this weekend that optimizes its Arc GPUs for Black Myth: Wukong and other games. Like other updates of its kind, the download also brings general improvements and bug fixes to Intel’s graphics hardware.

It’s important to note that this is a non-WHQL driver. In other words, this is an update that has not yet undergone full Windows hardware kit testing, but Intel claims it has the “same functional quality” as a WHQL driver.

In addition to Black Myth: Wukong, the new software brings Game On support for Hunt: Showdown 1896 and World of Warcraft: The War Within. The driver is valid for Intel Arc GPUs, both dedicated and integrated processor graphics.

Below are some known bugs that the update fixes:

• Delta Force: Hawk Ops Alpha Playtest (DX12) should no longer experience instability during gameplay.
• Shadow of the Tomb Raider (DX11) should no longer display foliage corruption during gameplay.
• On integrated graphics, Force of Warships (DX11) should no longer exhibit texture corruption during gameplay.

The monkey king game is made in Unreal Engine 5, bringing all the visual quality and hardware demands that have become synonymous with Epic’s latest graphics engine. In other words, all optimization is truly welcome to be able to run the game that has already been giving trouble even on very advanced PC configurations.
