New Gmktec Mini PC with Strix Halo costs more than $ 2,000

GMKTEC revealed this week the release and price date of EVO-X2, its newest mini PC with Strix Halo processor. In addition to Ryzen Ai Max+ 395, the small computer comes with other top of the line settings, making it cost more than $ 2,000. Its debut takes place on April 7th.

The EVO-X2 announcement was made first in China, so GMKTEC released its official price on Yuans: 14,999. It gives a little less than $ 11,900 in direct conversion to the current price.

The price draws attention by itself, but it is more surprising when we compare with the EVO-X1, the previous generation of the mini PC, which arrived costing the equivalent of $ 1,300. The system came equipped with a Ryzen Ai 9 HX 370, still from the Strix Point line.

Accompanying Ryzen Ai Max+ 395, we have 128GB of LPDDR5X memory, which prevents future upgrades. The storage is due to a “high -speed” 2TB SSD – GMKTEC does not reveal details about the drive.

Instead, the company prefers to focus on the processor, which offers 16 nuclei with 32 threads and boost clock up to 5.1ghz. It comes with a 8060s Radeon for integrated charts, with 40 costs.

GMKTEC promises more performance than a RTX 5090D to AI

An interesting excerpt from GMKTEC’s release to its new mini PC is a comparison that the company makes with RTX 5090D. According to the manufacturer, the EVO-X2, as a whole, “goes beyond the AI ​​performance of a GPU RTX 5090D.”

It is important to note that GMKTEC is comparing the complete computer with the performance of the video card alone. In addition, the comparison is made with the model available in China, to 5090d.
