Advances in the cable connection interface have made solutions such as external GPUs, also known as the increasingly common EGPU. This is why the FEVM has decided to differentiate itself with FNGT5 to bet on the past generation of Nvidia video cards, which ensures slightly more affordable values.
FNGT5 PRO is now available in China and is recommended for notebooks, mini PCs and other systems without dedicated video card. The EGPU system only measures 142 x 100 x60mm and incorporates one between three Options of the RTX 40 series for notebooks. Each video card determines peripheral price options:
- RTX 4090 com 16GB GDDR6: US$ 1.374 (R$ 7.739)
- RTX 4080 com 12GB GDDR6: US$ 1.040 (R$ 5.857)
- RTX 4060 com 8GB GDDR6: US$ 555 (R$ 3.126)
While you can’t call EGPU FNGT5 Pro “cheap”, certainly Fevm would charge much higher values if it had opted for models from the RTX 50 series for notebooks.
Thunderbolt 5 and Occulink bring versatility to EGPU
The new EGPU of the Fevm includes two Thunderbolt 5 ports and one Occulink to connect your outdoor video card to the notebook or mini PC.
The Occulink door has become quite popular in this type of solution as it offers sufficient data transfer to advanced GPUs while based on PCIE 4.0 x4 interface.
The Thunderbolt 5 connection, in turn, incorporates Power Delivery (PD). One of the doors offers 100W Upstream and the other up to 30W Downstream. This means that using Thunderbolt 5 with devices that can offer this energy, it is not necessary to turn on the EGPU directly into the outlet.

Unfortunately for interested parties, the FEVm does not have the habit of selling its products outside China. But for those who want to import, Tom’s hardware people say we can see FNGT5 Pro at Aliexpress soon. The EGPU already appears in the JD.com store.
