Aoostar is one of the best-known brands among mini PC manufacturers, and now the company has started selling the GEM12 Pro Max, one of its most recent releases. The small computer features a Ryzen 8845HS and various memory configurations, and also draws attention due to the presence of a small built-in LCD screen.
The display on the body of the GEM12 Pro Max is really small, serving to offer simple PC monitoring information, calendar and clock or customized images. An interesting design solution in this case is that the switched off screen “disappears”, becoming imperceptible on the mini PC.
In terms of hardware, the Ryzen 8845HS runs at 5.1GHz, with a maximum TPD of 75W and features a Radeon 780M as an integrated GPU. Aoostar’s new compact computer offers the famous OCuLink port for external video cards.
The manufacturer also highlights that the GEM12 Pro Max can connect a total of 4 monitors with 4K@120Hz resolution. This can be done through an HDMI 2.1 and a DisplayPort 1.4 port and two other USB4 Type-C ports, one on the front of the mini PC and one on the back.
Prices for the Aoostar GEM12 Pro Max start at $419
As mentioned, Aoostar’s new mini PC comes with different memory configurations, with different prices. It starts with the option without RAM or storage – therefore, without an operating system – which costs US$ 419. This is approximately R$ 2,521 at the current price. Options with memory are as follows:
- 16GB de RAM + 512GB de SSD: US$ 499 (R$ 3.002)
- 32GB de RAM + 1TB de SSD: US$ 569 (R$ 3.423)
- 64GB RAM + 1TB SSD: US$699 (R$4,206)
The most expensive option of the product already has a value close to Aoostar’s latest mini PC with Ryzen AI 9 HX 370. However, this product is still only for sale in China and should increase in value when it arrives in the US and other markets .
