New AOKZOE A1 X notebook features 8” screen and AMD Ryzen HX 370

AOKZOE is yet another notebook manufacturer that has decided to skip the Ryzen Z2 series for a new device. Instead, the company opted for the Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 for its A1 X, which arrives “soon”. The company’s new handheld also has an 8” 120Hz screen, compatible with VRR.

While the Ryzen Z2 Extreme is an octa-core specially optimized for laptops, the Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 has a higher core count, reaching 12. The integrated graphics are exactly the same, featuring a Radeon 890M, the most important part on a gaming-oriented device.

In addition to the screen and processor, AOKZOE also boasts about the battery of its A1 X notebook, 72.7Wh. The company calls it a “big battery,” but it’s still below 74Wh in the Legion Go 2, and well below the 80Wh in the ROG Ally X and MSI Claw. However, VideoCardz states that the number is still above average for the handheld market.

The AOKZOE A1 X’s most direct competition will apparently be the Ayaneo 3, which uses exactly the same processor. Unfortunately, Ayaneo is still releasing information about its handheld in a “dropper” style, so it is difficult to make comparisons at the moment.

Of all the possible comparisons, it is evidently based on the price that it is most interesting to see the dispute between the products. Unfortunately, like other manufacturers, AOKZOE still hasn’t wanted to touch on the subject for its new notebook. VideoCardz is “undoubtedly” betting on a launch via crowdfunding, which could result in attractive prices for early users.
