CES 2026 brought announcements that promise to redefine what we mean by “enthusiast”. At the stand of MSIthe main highlight could be none other than the imposing RTX 5090 Lightning Za video card that is, literally, a technological “bazooka” in the form of hardware.

In this post, we explore the brand’s main launches, from colossal GPUs to ultra-high-precision peripherals and monitors that challenge the limits of refresh rates.

The star of the show: RTX 5090 Lightning Z

The Lightning line has always been synonymous with excellence at MSI, and the 5000 series model takes this to the extreme. THE RTX 5090 Lightning Z It is a limited edition, individually identified on the side (like unit number 2 shown at the fair).

Board highlights:

  • Design e display: the board has a customizable side panelideal for vertical mounts, allowing the user to monitor information or display personalized artwork.
  • Power and consumption: prepare your source! The board has two power connectorsallowing it to exceed the conventional PCI 5.0 power limit, achieving consumption of 600W to push the chip to its maximum limit.
  • Extreme cooling: To deal with this heat, it uses a liquid cooling with 360mm radiator and an extremely robust block, with a large contact area for the GPU and memories.

If you are not a fan of liquid systems, MSI introduced the line Core Frozer (AP15 e AP17). These air coolers not only deliver performance, but also bring touch displays at the top that show vital statistics such as fan speed and processor temperature, all finished in RGB.

Innovation on motherboards: the 3D concept

The lack of new desktop processors in early 2026 has led companies to focus on creative design. MSI presented the X870 EDa motherboard Mini-ITX with 3D layers.

To compensate for the reduced size, MSI stacked components, placing M.2 slots on the chipset heatsink and adding side expanders to ensure USB-C connectivity and extra SATA ports.

QD-OLED displays and 5K technology

The visual experience was elevated with the 5th generation of QD-OLED technology from Samsung on MSI monitors.

  • 341CQR QD-OLED X36: a 34-inch ultra-wide monitor with impressive 360Hz refresh rate and response time of just 0.03ms.
  • And X: In addition to the OLED panel, it has a AI camera and an interactive light bar that reacts to game events, such as loss of life or incoming shots.
  • Monitor Dual-Mode 5K: for those who work and play, MSI showed a 27-inch screen that operates at 5K a 165Hz for productivity or Quad HD a 330Hz for competitive games, using Mini-LED technology.

High performance peripherals

To complete the ecosystem, the line of peripherals received updates focused on low latency and lightness:

  • Versa 300 and 500 mice: both have 8.000Hz de polling rateweigh less than 68g and offer up to 196 hours of autonomy in the 300 model.
  • Teclado Strike 700 Wireless: With a CNC metallic finish, this mechanical keyboard focuses on responsiveness (8,000Hz polling rate) and features a “clean” look with keycaps that can come without front markings for hardcore users.

News confirmed for Brazil

MSI consolidated its position in the enthusiast market at CES 2026. With units confirmed for the Brazil (although in limited quantities), the RTX 5090 Lightning Z and the new QD-OLED displays should become the new objects of desire for those looking for the pinnacle of gaming technology.
