MSI will sell its Monster Hunter themed controller outside of the bundle with RTX 4060 Ti

To celebrate Monster Hunter’s 20th anniversary, MSI prepared a bundle of the RTX 4060 Ti with a GC30 controller, both customized with series-themed colors and visuals. Additionally, the package includes a cell phone pouch shaped like the games’ healing potion icon.

Until now, the bundle was the only way to obtain an MSI GC30 customized for the anniversary of Capcom’s famous game series. However, this will change – at least in Japan. MSI has officially confirmed that it will sell its Monster Hunter 20th anniversary themed controller as a standalone in the game’s homeland.

The peripheral will reach Japanese stores for a suggested price of 5,980 yen, which is more or less the equivalent of R$238 in direct conversion. In comparison, the bundle costs US$500 on Amazon in the US, more or less R$3,000 at the current price.

The MSI GC30 maintains its original layout, but with different details and colors. It has a gold D-PAd, and the image of a Rathalos at the bottom of the buttons. The Monster Hunter 20th anniversary seal also appears, and the buttons are gray, instead of the Xbox-style color.

Despite the layout visibly inspired by the Xbox controller, it is worth remembering that the MSI GC30 is not suitable for the console. The manufacturer, in fact, recommends its use on Windows PCs and Android devices – and the same goes for the Monster Hunter version of the controller.

The peripheral works wired or wirelessly and comes with a built-in battery with an autonomy of 8 hours. It has been on sale since the beginning of the month in Japan, so we have no forecast of availability of its standalone version in the rest of the world.

Therefore, the bundle is the only way to get the control for those who do not want to import from Japan. As mentioned, the RTX 4060 Ti in the package also comes customized, with colors and details that align with the look of the peripheral.
