The Ryzen 9 9950x3D is currently the most powerful processor of AMD for the household segment. MSI, however, states that its performance can be brought even further, with simple adjustments of its more advanced motherboards with X870 and X870E chipsets.
The manufacturer has published on her official website a guide on how to boost the performance of the Ryzen 9 9950x3d in games, which starts with the traditional BIOS update. The latest version of the chipset driver It’s V7.01.08.129which should be used with AGESA 1.2.0.3 or more recent. According to the company, Simples Update already offers more performance in some games, as shown in the charts below:
But the “secret” is even in the resources that MSI offers in the BIOS of its most advanced plates. The company recommends using three together:
- Memory Try It! – offers various combinations of overclocking and memory parameters in order to make it easier to choose the user.
- High-effectivecy mode-resource seeks to increase memory band while reduced your latency.
- X3D Gaming Mode – Adjusts processor SMT, which may be beneficial for some games, but may have a negative impact on other apps.
Ryzen 9 9950x3D showed 14.5% more performance in Monster Hunter Wilds
Evidently MSI highlighted the highest performance scenario for 9950x3D, and in this case it was Monster Hunter Wilds. It is possible, however, that the greatest merit was memory, as the comparison is made between modules with standard 4,800mt/s configuration with 8,000mt/s by Memory Try It!

It is interesting that MSI included Black Myth: Wukong Ali, which barely had any difference. This helps in the credibility of the tests, but it is still good to remember that benchmarks offered directly by companies always show the best scenario for their products.
