MSI officially revealed what its launch models will be for the RTX 5050 debut. The company brings back its gaming series to the entry option of the GPUS Blackwell series, incorporating two fans into a discreet design.
The MSI RTX 5050 8g Gaming even puts in its name its 8GB capacity. The plate connects by PCIE 5.0 and offers 2,560 CUDA cores, with a 130W TGP, according to GPU reference specifications. The difference is in the clock of the model.
The MSI Gaming variant for the 5050 has a standard version with Boost Clock up to 2,572MHz and an OC version, which comes out of the box capable of reaching 2,632MHz. The default model can go to 2,587MHz by the MSI Center and the RTX 5050 8g Gaming OC reaches 2,647MHz using the tool.
Discreet visual and without RGB on the new MSI gaming plate
The name “gaming” is already quite common between components for the PC, but Videocardz says MSI was the first AIB to call its plates like that. At the time, the company reserved the name for its premium models, but now we can see that its return is intended for input models.
This way, the RTX 5050 has a very discreet look. With a two Stormforce Fans profile and Twin Frozr 10 cooling solution, the plate should not draw much attention. MSI even gave up the RGB LEDs, which still appeared on past models in the logo, but for 5050 we have none.
It is also worth mentioning that there is no indication of a 0DB mode for the board, so it is possible that the fans always work, even when there is no need.
RTX 5050 arrives when, after all?
In its official announcement from the RTX 5050, Nvidia has stated that notebook models are now available, while the desktop PC cards would only arrive in the second half of July.

However, there were rumors before that pointing to a release on the first day of the month, tomorrow. MSI’s Shadow 2x model also listed on Amazon scheduled for release on July 1st. With the official announcement of the gaming models, it seems that the 5050 can make its PC debut ahead of expected.
