MSI launches PCIe card with Wi-Fi 7 in the Herald-BE line

MSI has announced a new PCIe card to bring Wi-Fi 7 to desktop PCs. The Herald-BE WIFI 7 MAX promises wireless connectivity to your computer at speeds of up to 5.8Gbps, using Qualcomm’s NCM865 modem.

The card is compatible with the three bands of the new generation of wireless connection – 6Hz, 5GHz and 2.4GHz. The main advantage, in addition to more advanced data communication, is that the higher band is still less congested than its predecessors. In addition, the manufacturer claims that the Herald-BE WIFI 7 MAX has been optimized to work with Windows 11.

Taking advantage of the expansion of connectivity via PCIe, MSI’s new product not only serves to implement Wi-Fi 7 on your desktop computer, but also Bluetooth 5.4. The manufacturer claims that the card allows you to connect multiple Bluetooth devices simultaneously with improved energy efficiency and greater range.

Speaking of range, the Herald-BE WIFI 7 MAX comes with a sizable antenna. According to the brand, this “ensures optimized signal strength and coverage.” Despite its unique design, the antenna is said to be designed to be easily adjustable and easy to position anywhere.
