MSI launches new PCIE 5 sources on Meg and MPG lines up to 1,600W

MSI announced this week three new sources “created to support the high energy demands of the Nvidia 50 video signs,” according to the company. They are two models of the MPG line and a MEG model, with capacities reaching up to 1,600W.

One aspect that immediately draws attention to the new MSI PSUs is that the company has chosen to certify its sources with both 80 Plus seal and the latest Cybenetics. Some time has been questioned the capacity of 80 Plus to actually certify the efficiency of a source, but the seal is still much adopted for its popularity.

All new MSI font models are 5.1 PCI compatible and serve the ATX 3.1 standard. They come with two 12V-2 × 6 connectors and promise noise reduction cooling solutions. Below, the characteristics that differentiate each model:

MSI new sources include Key for Monster Hunter Wilds

Monster Hunter Wilds appears once again in a MSI bundle. The company has been offering the game when buying its monitors since the beginning of the month, and now extends the package to its new sources as well.

The bundle starts to apply tomorrow, February 28, which is the release date of the new Capcom game. According to the company, the offer is valid for all its eligible sources, but MSI did not offer a list of what these models are in its first disclosure.
