MSI revealed the MSI Claw 8 AI+ laptop, which will hit the market with the new Intel Lunar Lake CPUs and an 8-inch screen – one more compared to the Claw A1M.

Little information was released about the new device, such as compatibility with Thunderbolt 4 – probably to connect it to the docking station or also to an eGPU. Furthermore, it will have a longer lasting battery than its current version, although they do not reveal how much improvement the new device will bring in this regard.

Another aspect that has not been revealed about the MSI Claw 8 AI+ is how artificial intelligence will act on the laptop. We know that new Intel processors will bring new approaches with them, just as several industry initiatives – such as Ubisoft’s NEO NPCs – explore this. However, MSI did not provide details on its importance in the hardware.

In addition to revealing the MSI Claw 8 AI+, the manufacturer also released a new version of its current portable device – inspired by Bethesda’s Fallout franchise.

According to what was released by MSI, “Claw x Fallout” has a design inspired by the game line and talks about what to expect from the 7-inch version made for fans.

Its unique design is inspired by the Vaults, Pip-Boys and robots from the Fallout franchise, offering fans an immersive experience in the game’s apocalyptic post-nuclear atmosphere.

Growth in the notebook market

It is important to note that the MSI Claw 8 AI+ is the first notebook to feature more advanced processors, both from Intel and AMD. So far, most of them have the Ryzen Z1 or Z1 Extreme CPU – showing that there is still a lot of room to evolve and bring new experiences to the public.

Considering that MSI and Intel have already entered into a partnership, the new device with Lunar Lake is a natural evolution of what is being seen in the current version – which has a “Meteor Lake” Core Ultra 7 155H. How it will fare compared to the ROG Ally X, Zotac Zone, Lenovo LEGION GO and the rest, we’ll know when its specs emerge.
