Intel may be about to lose one of its few partners in the Handheld style PCs segment. New rumors indicate that MSI should adopt Ryzen Ai Z2 Extreme, from AMD, as the processor for its next Claw laptop.

The information comes from Haze (@haze2k1) and is not official, so it must be treated as a rumor. The post does not go into detail, just saying that MSI will opt for the new line of line AMD especially made to handhelds like Claw.

Offering more credibility for rumor, this is not the first time we have rumors of MSI opting for a Ryzen Z2 on some new device. Still at CES 2025, when the company was still promoting Claw 8 Ai+ and Claw 7 Ai+ we had reports that we could see a new version of AMD processors products.
