Lenovo announced LCFC AI, its new Ryzen -based mini PC AI Max+ 395. Strix Halo Apu was presented at CES in January and its implementation in laptops and mini-PCS took a long time to reach the market.

Now, finally, you can see a significant increase in systems equipped with this architecture. Although not everyone is available for purchase or has been tested, this growth gives a view of what to expect.

In addition to Lenovo’s new mini-PC, Akzoe has announced a mini-PC on its social networks. However, specifications, release date and price are unknown. The two information is that the device will be released soon and the official design displays a special buttonpossibly intended for the activation of a high performance mode.

For some, the fact that so many mini PCs are released with AI (or then) in the name may sound like a mere marketing move. However, considering that Ryzen Ai Max 395 brings together 16 nuclei and 32 threads, it is easy to see that APU has opened new possibilities for users seeking high performance on compact devices.

It is a fact that AMD has a small participation in the GPUS market and that Nvidia dominates the segment. However, the Strix Halo chip seems to be a way the company has found to compete by betting on compact.

In addition, taking advantage of Nvidia’s fragility situation, AMD can launch GPUS IAS to the Chinese market. Recently, the green team’s rival suffered a loss of $ 5.5 billion with recent restrictions imposed by the US government.

Even during Computex, Jensen Huang, CEO of Nvidia, criticized American sanctions. In his words, “export control is a failure.”

In short, increased compact AI compact equipment should be a trend that will make room for AMD to compete.
