China is about to usher in a new era in public security with the introduction of RT-Gan autonomous police robot that looks like it came straight out of a science fiction film directed by James Cameron. Developed by Logon TechnologyRT-G already patrols the streets of several cities across the country, representing a milestone in the integration between advanced technology and law enforcement.

See below a video of RT-Gem joint patrols with human agents.

RT-G is part of a broader effort to modernize police forces in China. Before him, Deep Robotics had already introduced Lynx, a hybrid quadruped robot with wheels, capable of overcoming obstacles and climbing stairs up to 80 centimeters high. With this approach, China reaffirms its leadership in the integration of robotics and security.

Cutting-edge technology in a compact format

Weighing 125 kilos and with a spherical design, the RT-G impresses with both its appearance and capabilities. It can travel at speeds of up to 35 km/h, whether on land or water, and its robust structure is capable of withstanding impacts of up to four tons. Powered by artificial intelligencethe robot operates completely autonomously, bringing features worthy of a fictional script.

Tools for surveillance and action

Equipped with facial recognition systems, RT-G can identify suspects in real time and detect behavior considered suspicious. The machine is also equipped with an arsenal that includes tear gas emitters, a siren that reproduces extremely powerful sound waves and even a weapon that can trap a suspect in a net.
