Lenovo still leads
Apple surpasses sales growth in the overall PC market, Apple is still in second place, behind Lenovo in sales growth. Apple recorded a 14.9% increase in shipments during the third quarter of 2025, while Lenovo grew 17.4% and the overall market grew 8.1%.
This means that Lenovo is still the world’s leading PC manufacturerbut Apple ranks fourth in terms of shipments. Dell, which came in third place, was the only major brand to record a slight decline of 0.9%.
HP, the second largest PC maker, grew 10%. ASUS, fifth in overall shipments, is just behind Apple with 14% growth.
Overall PC shipment growth was primarily driven by two factors. One is the approaching end of support for Windows 10 and the other is inventory adjustments related to US tariffs. However, the future will still depend on the boom in PCs for Artificial Intelligence.
This should materialize from next year, with researchers stating that this new boom could take the market to “new heights”.

The price difference is a relevant factor, but some may be scared to see a Lenovo Thinkpad Notebook for R$35,010.00 at Kabum. The price is approximately half that of its Apple counterpart, a Macbook Pro 16″ M4 Max which costs R$66,395.50. This is a comparison between the companies’ two most expensive products.
A comparison taking the most sought after products reveals the difference between accessibility. Macs cost much higher prices than Lenovo products, such as R$14,199.00 (MacBook Pro 14″ M4), R$13,099.00 (MacBook Air 15″ M4) and R$9,499.00 (MacBook Air 13″ M4).
Lenovo models cost 1/5 of the price, with values such as R$4,369.00 (Lenovo LOQ-E), R$3,049.00 (Lenovo Slim) and R$2,285.65 (Lenovo Ideapad).
