Lian Li this week introduced a new power supply in its Edge series of PSUs that features a removable hub for more PWM and USB power outputs. Edge Gold has different capacity options and even offers a dust filter directly on the component to protect the 120mm fan.
The most eye-catching part of Lian Li’s new Edge Gold power supply is probably its USB/PWM hub. Four USB 2.0 outputs are offered for up to eight ports on the case, with a power capacity of 2.5A. In addition, there are six 4-pin PWM connectors to help configure case fans.
The hub fits into the power supply with the help of magnets, which can also be used to position the accessory in any other part of the cabinet that the user desires. The hub comes with the 1200W and 1000W Edge Gold sources, and can be purchased as a separate accessory for the 850W and 750W models.
In addition to the novelty, the source retains the design that Lian Li calls “T-shape”, despite looking more like an L. According to the company, the positioning of the connections for the modular cables facilitates the cable management of your build.
Lian Li states that its new sources arrive today, January 3rd, but does not disclose their prices. To reiterate, we have 1200W, 1000W, 850W and 750W models, in black and white color options. The smaller capacity variant, however, will only be available in black.
The manufacturer also highlights that, compared to the first version of the Edge, the Gold model has longer power cables, and the company offers a 10-year warranty for the product.

Finally, it is worth highlighting the efficiency certificates of the new PSUs. All have the 80 Plus Gold seal, with the 1000W and 1200W models having Cybenetics Platinum and the lower capacity variants also having Cybenetics Gold.
