LG StandbyME: LG’s briefcase TV is launched in Brazil

A LG StandbyME was released as the new brand TV in Brazil last Thursday (15). This 27-inch model is designed to be a portable, wireless device with touchscreen support. With Full HD resolution, the device’s minimalist design seeks to innovate with its features.

However, what draws the most attention to the LG StandbyME is the fact that the TV comes inside a case. Yes, you read that right. You can carry around a 27-inch TV inside a case. A curious device, to say the least.

Main features of LG’s briefcase TV

Igor Krauniski, senior manager of TV and Audio products at LG in Brazil, highlighted the qualities of the launch:

LG is committed to fulfilling customers’ aspirations to improve their quality of life, so StanbyME’s premium design and high technology help consumers realize their desired lifestyle and express their individuality.

The new product promises high quality and features a mobile base covered in fabric on the back. The base has five wheels, allowing the screen to rotate up to 180º, tilt 130º and adjust the height by 20cm.

Additionally, the TV comes with the webOS operating system and customizable smart features. It also supports NFC and AirPlay 2, making it easy to share and mirror content from phones, tablets, and laptops.

Krauniski added:

This new feature is in line with our Life’s Good purpose, in which we seek to improve people’s daily lives. With great convenience, you can watch the main streaming services, follow a recipe while cooking, study, present a project and much more, from wherever you want.

As for connectivity, LG StandbyME offers Bluetooth 5.0, HDMI, USB and Wi-Fi 802.11ac. The speakers have an output power of 10W and the battery promises up to 3 hours of autonomy.
