Lenovo has already launched several notebooks with Microsoft’s Copilot+ PC seal, introducing artificial intelligence into the daily lives of consumers around the world. However, it’s no secret that they’re not that cheap, but a new leak suggests that at least the manufacturer will bring more affordable models to the public.

Leaker Evan Blass has revealed that the company will use the IFA 2024 event to showcase two new models powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X Plus 8-core processor. They will be the IdeaPad 5x 2-in-1 (with a 14-inch OLED display) and the IdeaPad Slim 5x (also with an OLED display and 14 inches).

According to the leaked material, Lenovo will bring the Slim 5x notebooks with Copilot+ PC for 899 euros, while the IdeaPad 5x 2-in-1 will cost 999 euros. They will be between 300 and 200 euros cheaper than the Surface Laptop 7, the most affordable model with AI – which sells for 1,199 euros.

The manufacturer also plans to bring new Copilot+ PC models, using Intel and AMD processors. In the same leak, the Yoga Slim 7i Aura Edition will have an Intel Core Ultra 200V CPU, while the Yoga Pro 7 and IdeaPad Slim 5 will feature an AMD Ryzen AI 300 CPU – all expected to arrive by the end of 2024.

A new step for Lenovo notebooks

It is important to note that the leak of the new Lenovo notebooks reveals several pieces of information that have not yet been announced directly to the public.

Lenovo notebooks with Copilot+ PC using Intel and AMD processors, for example, had not been officially announced – although both had already said they would bring computers with this seal, but close to the end of the year and without a promise about dates or which manufacturers they would work with.

As for cheap Lenovo notebooks with Copilot+ PC, we’ve seen constant promotions on competing brands in the US – with the Dell Inspiron 14 Plus going for $799.99 and HP’s OmniBook X selling for $899.99. Whether the new models will be cheaper than these in the US or not remains to be seen.
