Lenovo has launched a new mini PC in China that draws attention both in its name and its specs. The Yoga Portal “borrows” the name of the manufacturer’s notebook line and incorporates an Intel Core i7 14700, accompanied by an RTX 4070 in its desktop version.
Compact PCs usually opt for a notebook-grade GPU, but Lenovo has decided to put a custom 12GB RTX 4070 in its mini PC. The Yoga Portal features the graphics card on its full PCB, with a 16-pin connector and a unique cooling solution. You can see a thick copper heatsink and a very large blower-style fan in the images.
Being a high-performance product for gamers and creators, the Yoga Portal also comes with a 14th-generation Core i7 14700. It’s a high-end processor, although this isn’t a good time for Intel’s reputation with its Raptor Lake-based components.
Moving on to the memory part, Lenovo’s mini PC features a 1TB M.2 Gen 4 SSD accompanied by 32GB of RAM. All components receive power from a 350W power supply, inside a case measuring 195 x 203 x 108mm.
Yoga Portal Pricing and Availability
Lenovo’s small PC is currently on pre-sale in China for 17,999 yuan, which is about $14,080 at the current exchange rate. This is a promotional price, after which the standard price of the product will be 19,999 yuan.
Interestingly, the Yoga Portal appears to be a slightly tweaked variant of the ThinkCentre Neo Ultra that’s available in the US. This other mini PC features the same small case, but comes with hardware options up to a Core i9-14900 and an RTX 4060.
With hardware similar to the ThinkCentre and a bolder design, GEEKOM also announced a product last week. However, for those interested in small computers and prefer AMD, Minisforum has the MS-A1 – the smallest AM5 mini PC in the world.
