Leak reveals apus amd gorgon point: Strix Point Refresh for 2026

AMD is apparently working on a Strix Point Refresh, as a recent leakage from its plans indicates. In a closed event of the company along with LG, a new generation of Apus Ryzen Ai appeared, with the code name Gorgon Point.

This is the first time the Gorgon Point series has appeared in a leak and we already have a lot of information. The photograph of a slide shows that the series will feature models from Ryzen Ai 3 with 4 cores to a Ryzen AI 9 hx, with 12 nuclei and over 55 tops in your NPU.

Details offered in another image show that Gorgon Point arrives in 2026 and will still bring Zen 5 architecture in their nuclei, accompanied by RDNA 3.5 for graphics and XDNA 2 for neural processing. That is, we have the same profile as the Strix Point, which indicates that we are seeing a refresh of the line for next year.

Gorgon Point does not bring much more performance than Strix Point

We still don’t know the commercial nomenclature that AMD will use in Gorgon Point. Being a Refresh, it may be that they arrive before the Medusa Point and mark the debut of the name Ryzen Ai 400. But at the moment we have only speculation.
