Among the AMD news that should appear at CES 2025, we will possibly have a new series of processors focused on more affordable products, currently known as Krackan Point. As usual for new CPUs with upcoming releases, we have had yet another benchmark leak for one of these models.
A supposed 8-core Krackan Point (KRK) was tested on Geekbench, equipped on an Acer Swift SFG16-61 notebook. As the screenshot below shows, the CPU scored 2,677 in single and 11,742 in multi, with a maximum clock of 5,045MHz.
The details show the processor with 4 Zen 5 cores and 4 Zen 5c cores, accompanied by 16MB of L3 cache. Additionally, this is an engineering sample, so clock numbers may change between now and launch, which could impact your score. New drivers can also help with your performance.
In any case, the supposed 8-core Krackan Point already gets enough points to surpass the Ryzen 7 8845HS, based on Hawk Point. The already available model from AMD’s affordable line scores 2,342 in single and 11,039 in multi in the same Geekbench test.
Eight-core Krackan Point could be the Ryzen AI 7 350
Obviously, Krackan Point is a codename for AMD’s new processors, which will follow a more standardized nomenclature for their commercial names. In the case of this specific model that appears in the leak, VideoCardz claims that it is the future Ryzen AI 7 350.
In addition to the Zen 5 CPU cores, the model must be accompanied by an integrated Radeon 860M GPU, with 8 CUs (compute units). Putting the “AI” in the name of the processor, we will probably also have an NPU XDNA2, with 50 TOPS.

Unfortunately, the APU’s TPD does not yet appear in the leak. It is worth mentioning that the Ryzen 7 8845HS, which was surpassed in the test, uses a nominal TDP of 45W and great efficiency is expected in future Krackan Point models.
