Kingston launches Fury Renegade G5 in Brazil: New SSD PIE 5.0 promises up to 14.800MB/S

Kingston announced today, May 12, the official debut of its new generation of SSDs in Brazil. Fury Renegade G5 are NVME M.2 drives for PCIE 5.0 interface, reaching three capacity options with the promise of delivering speeds up to 14,800MB/s in reading.

“G5 represents the most advanced performance for end users,” said Paulo Vizaco, one of Kingston’s executives in Brazil. “It’s a product created for those who want to align speed, reliability and energy efficiency.” The speeds promised by the company, for each capacity option, are as follows:

• 1024GB: Up to 14.200MB/s Reading and 11.000MB/S of Recording
• 2048GB: Up to 14.700mb/s of reading and 14,000mb/s of recording
• 4096GB: Up to 14.800mb/s reading and 14,000MB/s of recording

These are estimates for sequential performance. Speaking specifically about game performance, it is also important to know the performance of Fury Renegade G5 in random reading and recording:

• 1024GB: Up to 2,200,200 Reading IOPs and 2,150,000 Recording IOPs
• 2048GB and 4096GB: Up to 2,200,000 Reading IOPs and 2,200,000 Recording IOPs

The 1TB Fury Renegade G5 appears on the manufacturer’s website for $ 2,562. The 2TB model on the price to $ 4,168 and the highest capacity and performance option, with 4TB, takes the value to $ 7,959. These are the discount prices, by default the products cost R $ 2,788.70, R $ 4,538.10 and R $ 8,660.60, respectively.
