Kingston has announced the launch of its first cable-free SSD. The product was designed for those looking for an affordable, reliable and practical portable solution for backup and data transfer.
The Kingston Dual Portable SSD makes it easy to transfer files between devices with USB Type-A and Type-C ports, such as notebooks, desktops and mobile devices. This means that, in practice, it will end up being used as a pendrive, with the detail that the promotional material shows the device being connected to a smartphone.
With the doors, the device eliminates the need for cables and offers a true “all-in-one” solution for storage and transfer. And, with its small size, it easily fits in the palm of your hand, in your pocket or in your backpack.

Furthermore, it comes in 512GB, 1TB and 2TB capacity versions, making it a great solution ideal for managing large files, high-resolution photos and 4K videos.
The Dual Portable SSD has a five-year warranty, free technical support and the reliability of the Kingston brand, known to many for the pendrives, memories and other products it offers to the market.

On the company’s official website, the model appears in its three versions with links for purchase. However, neither the Kingston store, so far, has units for sale and the price has not been announced.
