Overclocker Vince “Kingpin” Lucido had a partnership for many years with EVGA, which even had its own series of GPUs within one of the manufacturer’s lines. However, with the company’s exit from the graphics card market, he sought new occasional collaborations – however, none that lasted as long.

Things changed and Kingpin announced, during Computex 2024, that it has already started working with another company: PNY. He did not reveal which project the two are working on together, and it is likely that we will see it at the launch of the next generation hardware with the brand.

At the PNY booth at the event, the Gamer Nexus channel noticed that he was tinkering with a GPU on his desk while testing his software – possibly preparing the model for future video cards.

Right now I’m testing the software and it’s really cool, very similar to our old PX1. I’m just trying to figure out the details of the software, all the lighting and the fans, and I actually got an XOC BIOS for this yesterday.

PNY is known for its professional graphics cards and everyday GPUs, but we had a big hole in the enthusiast market with EVGA’s departure and it doesn’t look like other manufacturers are looking to fill it.

PNY KINGPIN still in 2024

If they are working on the next generation of hardware, it is quite possible that they will bring PNY KINGPIN GPUs to the GeForce RTX 50. For the sake of curiosity, he stated during the event that his collaboration with the corporation would be seen in 2024.

Taking into account that NVIDIA intends to bring the RTX 5080 and RTX 5090 in the second half of the year, there is a possibility that something is being prepared behind the scenes.

One thing is certain, both when we talk about KINGPIN in the old EVGA era and in its new period at PNY – there will be no white GPUs from its lineup. All the models he worked on are black and are very difficult to remodel for the current public.
